Relax! Let your eyes wander and quiet your mind with some visual therapy. A picture is always more than you can see. You will also find my own illustrations, animations and sometimes short stories. You never know what you will find so make sure to come back.
Snuggles with our cats are just the best thing. Peanut sits on my pillow above my head and purrs down my ear for ages at night. She also sits on my chest when I’m lying down in bed. It makes it a little more difficult to breathe ð but it’s worth every minute!
Your cat is beautiful, J. Am I right (or wrong) in remembering it’s a he? Please remind me of his name as I’ve got a head like a sieve! I love his gorgeous green eyes, too. Xx ðĶĒðð
Hi Ellie,
My handsome cat is a boy named Poe( from Edgar Allen Poe) I found him at the flea market some years ago. He was in a small cage, limp and just sad looking. It was also very hot outside. The young couple had a bunch of kittens but nobody wanted the black one. I’ve always wanted a black cat so it was meant to be( I like to think). They put him in a open box so I can carry him and on the way to my car he started to climb out of the box and touch my chin. He was all black with green eyes and one white whisker. The white whisker fell after a few months. He has been a really amazing cat. Playful, gentle, funny and lovable. He loves my lap and loves to hang out with me while gardening. Listening to a cat purr is very relaxing, I love it. I hope your day is not too bad. I am planning to relax today ð
I love the name Poe. What inspired you to call him that? I’m glad he’s such good company for you. Once you’ve had a cat, and Peanut is my first one, you can never be without one. I wish I’d got a cat years ago, as I’ve lived on my own, albeit happily, for many years. Now, I have Peanut; I feel like I have a little friend in the house, which I do have with her. I can’t and don’t want to imagine life without her. She’s only three years old, so she will hopefully be with me for a long time. She was a rescue cat (kitten then), like Poe. I don’t know how people can be cruel or neglectful to animals. When I first had Peanut, she was underweight and had a dull coat. She’s been given some really cheap and not very nutritious food. After a while of being with me, she started filling out a bit, and her coat became lovely and shiny. I love her to bits as you do with your Poe. Xx ðĶĒð·ðŧ
