Abstract

Reflections and Illusions. Sometimes I like to play around with different things for an interesting effect. I used a magnifier for this one. I like the tree reflections. What do you think?

  1. What a fascinating photo, J. Very clever photography. I love the reflection of the trees in the magnifying glass. As this looks like it’s made from horn, I wonder whether it’s old; perhaps, been passed down through the family, as my father had a similar one? I’d like to ask, on the right-hand side of the photo, near the top, just below the reflection of the trees, there looks like a tiny cottage with a couple of windows on the front. It could be my active imagination, but I’m curious. Thanks. Ellie x

    1. Hi Ellie! How are you? Is today better? Cooler? The reflections are from the trees and the houses across the pond from me. I don’t remember where I got the magnifier but it does have a horn as a handle. Heavy and well made but not sure if it’s old or just a remake? Glad you liked it. How’s Peanut?

      1. Hi J. Today has been 28C so still hot but an awful lot better than the last two days, thank goodness. Itโ€™s going to be a bit cooler again tomorrow. There should be some fresh air around too. Itโ€™ll be lovely ๐Ÿ˜Š. I did think they were houses. It was a great photo. Peanut is okay, thanks; a lot more comfortable today. Sheโ€™s been coming up to bed with me the last couple of nights whereas, usually she stays in the living room. Iโ€™m going to continue like that as I sleep better and she seems happier and settled during the day. X ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿˆ
