Fascinating little insect. I was intrigued and googled blue bees and found that there is a very rare blue bee called the Blue Calamintha Bee with a metallic shine to it, just like your photo. It’s recently been rediscovered in parts of Florida! I don’t know if you know this anyway, but just thought I’d let you know in case you didn’t.
